What is the course about?

On the course Team Development Using the MBTI® Assessment, you will learn how to contract for, design, deliver, and evaluate in-person and virtual team development workshops using the MBTI® Step I™ assessment – including how to help teams address a variety of issues, improve team effectiveness, and appreciate differences. After the workshop, you’ll be able to create your own tailored team development sessions, choosing effective activities and approaches to meet the needs of the team you’re working with.

The course is practical and provides you with models, activities, and resoursces to facilitate impactful team development sessions.

By successfully completing this workshop, you will gain the skills needed to effectively collaborate with workshop sponsors, design and plan team development sessions with clear purpose, and confidently facilitate a variety of MBTI-based team activities. You’ll also learn how to guide teams through action planning for ongoing growth and use diverse methods to evaluate the effectiveness of your interventions.

Through hands-on activities, group discussions, and practical resources, you’ll build the confidence to address common challenges that impact team performance and cohesion. The workshop covers applications such as enhancing communication, managing change, resolving conflicts, and dealing with problem-solving. Additionally, you will explore essential models of team dynamics and receive a copy of Introduction to Myers-Briggs® Type and Teams for your professional reference.

Gain essential skills to design and lead impactful MBTI team workshops, using proven models and facilitation strategies for any team setting. Specifically, you will:

Understand the stages of building and facilitating MBTI team workshops from initial request to evaluation.
Explore models and theories relevant to team development, including Lencioni’s Five Dysfunctions of a Team, the Tuckman Model, and the Johari Window.
Experience MBTI team activities in action, know what to observe, and understand how and when to use feedback.
Learn facilitator tips to run effective workshops with a variety of team setups, including remote, hybrid, and mobile teams.
Establish processes for action planning, following up, and evaluating the return on investment of your workshops.

Practical information about the course

The course runs for 1 day. The price is £495.00 ex VAT, invoiced prior to course start. A 10% discount is available when you register with a colleague or when you sign up for more than one course. The course fee includes all training materials. See all frequently asked questions here.

INVOICING

An invoice will be sent at the point of registration on the course, with a 14-day payment deadline. All invoices are subject to VAT.

MATERIALS

Access to one set of official course-specific materials from The Myers-Briggs Company is included in the course fee.

For in-person courses, the materials are provided in hard-copy format at the course venue.

For online courses, materials are provided in digital format where available.

For certain online courses, materials are only available in hard-copy format, or participants may choose hard-copy materials instead of digital materials. In these cases, hard-copy materials will be shipped to the participant, and the following handling and shipping charges apply:

- UK delivery: a fixed fee of £15 + VAT

- Delivery outside the UK: costs vary by location and are confirmed before dispatch

RESCHEDULING

A participant may transfer their booking to another available course date as follows:

- More than 14 days before the course start date: no transfer fee will apply (non-refundable third-party costs, including catering, may be charged where applicable).

- Within 14 days of the course start date: a transfer fee equal to 25% of the full course fee will be charged.

All transfer requests must be made in writing and are subject to availability.

SUBSTITUTION OF PARTIPIPANT

Substitutions can be accepted without charge at any time (subject to any additional material costs) provided that the substitute fulfils the entrance requirements and has completed any pre-course study.
Where hard-copy materials have already been supplied, the original participant should, wherever possible, pass these materials directly to the substitute participant. Additional charges may apply where replacement materials are required.

CANCELLATION

- Up to 28 days before the course start date: cancellations may be made at no charge.

- Between 28 days and 7 days before the course start date, 50% of the course fee will be payable.

- Less than 7 days before the course start date or in the case of non-attendance: the full fee will be payable.

Cancellation requests must be made in writing.

Should a rescheduled course place later be cancelled by the participant, the above cancellation terms apply to the original course start date.

Human House reserves the right to cancel, reschedule, change the venue, or change the delivery format of a course where reasonably necessary. In the event of any such change, the participant may reschedule the booking to an alternative date. If no alternative dates are suitable, a refund will be issued. Human House shall not be liable for any travel, accommodation or other indirect costs arising from any such change.

PERSONAL DATA

Human House and The Myers-Briggs Company will process personal information to provide course materials, maintain certification records, and grant access to learning and assessment systems where applicable. By registering for a course, you acknowledge and agree that relevant personal data may be shared between Human House and The Myers-Briggs Company where necessary for these purposes.

By registering for the course, you hereby permit Human House:

- to retain personal data to maintain certification records, issue replacement certificates, and support you in relation to completed training,

- to contact you regarding relevant training, certification updates, and professional development opportunities.

Where required for the course, your MBTI®/FIRO®/TKI® (as applicable) results may be discussed and used as part of workshop activities and shared with other participants for learning and training purposes.

You may request the deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us.
