What is the difference between MBTI® Step I and Step II?
With MBTI® Step II, you gain a deeper understanding of the four dimensions introduced during the MBTI® Step I certification course. Building on the Step I structure, Step II introduces five additional facets for each dimension, offering increased insight into how preferences are uniquely expressed by different individuals.
Who is the MBTI® Step II certification for?
This certification is designed for those already certified in MBTI® Step I. Whether you are employed or self-employed within HR, management, or development, this course is for you.
Step II is particularly relevant if you work with individuals who have difficulty identifying with their Step I profile, or when it becomes clear that not all preferences are expressed in the same way. Moreover, Step II enables you to explore individual profiles more deeply as part of extended or more specific processes – ideal when you need to create highly personalised portraits of participants.
As an MBTI-certified practitioner, you are qualified to provide both individual and group feedback and can facilitate MBTI® Step II workshops. In addition, you can deliver individual sessions and team workshops tailored to the topics relevant to your organisation or consultancy practice.

Embarking on an MBTI® programme is an introduction to a world of types and preferences. You will acquire concrete tools to strengthen psychological safety, support change, improve communication and collaboration, and enhance leadership.
Practical information about the course
The certification course runs for 2 days. The price is £1,395.00 ex VAT, invoiced prior to course start. A 10% discount is available when you register with a colleague or for more than one course. Upon successful completion, all participants receive a lifetime certification certificate.
