Build effective and successful relationships

A certification in FIRO® equips you with a powerful tool for team development, leadership development, and personal growth. In addition to its use in anticipating how a team will collaborate and manage internal conflict, the tool reveals the kind of interpersonal environment in which people thrive. Since it also offers insights into how individuals perceive others, FIRO is ideal for developing self-awareness.

FIRO® assesses how a person typically behaves towards others and how that person wishes others would behave towards them. The tool evaluates an individual’s interpersonal style and whether this style is appropriate for the relationships in which they engage. Behaviour is assessed at three levels, reflecting what a person expresses compared to what they need:

Inclusion

The need to belong

Control

The need for influence

Affection

The need for connection
